MORE STORIES ABOUT ME.

<<My Special Experience>>

Before I transferred, I took one year off to take more practical design classes in the Career Training Center in Taichung. I learned lots of graphic design techniques that can be used in workplaces practically.

In the end of my sophomore year, I took part in an Overseas Exchange Student program at the University of the West of England (UWE) for the junior grade. I wanted to experience the culture of the UK, the elegant British life, and their ancient buildings. I discovered the department of filmmaking at UWE was (and still is) ranked highly on a global scale. After several months, my school notified me that I had been accepted to UWE.

During my time as an exchange student, my strengths, which allowed me to adapt to the foreign conditions, were my problem solving abilities and my positive attitude towards learning. Through the life in Bristol, I made many new friends. We introduced each other to our various cultures and exchanged our different opinions. I went to join and looked around many different art exhibitions with my friend. There, we would discuss each other about the stuff of art or design. In UWE, I worked with local classmates for several projects and learned a lot of new techniques, for example, DaVinci Resolve, shooting on green screen, composing in

After Effects, etc. In the class, we also sat in on many talks where a professional would share their experience of filming every week. The biggest culture shock for me was the different education style: that includes the self-study education and the school projects focused on skills of marketing and promotion. Those lessons inspired me a lot by opening up new possibilities and widened my views of filmmaking.

After finishing the course of UWE, my friends, who I met in England, invited me to have a journey in their country so I went to North Ireland, Milan, Venice and Barcelona. My best friends led me to try their local food and go their secret spots and hot spots. We also did our best to cook some local dishes for each other. During this amazing travel, I really felt appreciated and thankful to have this chance to experience their culture and local life.

<<Performance of Extracurricular Activities>>

During the period of high school, I learned how to sketch and practiced my design skill in Illustrator and Photoshop. After graduation from high school, I keep helping my family business to design some graphic stuff, including “menus, roles, photography of products, website, signs of stores, etc.

From 23rd July of this year, I had an internship in Beijing, China. There, I worked in a magazine publishing company and followed them to go Henan where we interviewed for five cities about their hot spots and local industries. During the last week in Beijing, I stayed in company for doing some basic editing works and adjusting the pictures which I took in Henan before. In this experience of the internship, I felt and discovered that China and Chinese are totally different from my imagination.

In addition to school study, I decided to join the Tainan Youth Orchestra after two weeks of school beginning. Practicing songs and fighting for many public performances is so enjoyable. Every performance upgrades my stage manner. Thus, I intend to get the certificate of street performer and enjoy the human interaction and the sense of achievement!

I have done two internships in Taipei. First, just after my freshman year, I was an intern student in an animation company which is called BV Animation Studio. There, I learned to comprehend how to make a cartoon and to work together in a team. Plus, I learned about the segmentation of action, filled the grids with color. Moreover, I got along very well with my seniors. So, my practical training was very substantial and cheerful during that summer vacation in 2013.

After coming back to Taiwan from England, I went to a recording studio which is called Vocaltrack Studio in Taipei to do more internship work. There, we recorded music and voice in the studio, and also went to the National Concert Hall for musical theater. During that summer vacation, we even reformed recording cables of the company. These are just a few of my useful experiences.

In March, 2017, I participated in a sound group for a benefit film as the boom operator and sound mixer. I also checked all sound stuff after finishing rolling every day. During filming days, I got along very well with all of my teammates. Many of my peers gave me great advice and suggested methods about sound recording. My skills have improved a lot after that project.

I joined a summer camp of filmmaking in Bei-Chen elementary school in Beigang Township. We had some lessons about filmmaking and led them to figure out a short story. In the end, the children and we shot three short films to apply a youth activity of international cinema sports organization.

Thank you for reading. Hopefully, you would like it. If we have a chance to cooperate together, i will do my best.
